Popular Dancehall Artist Earlan Bartley known under his stage name Alkaline has been charged in connection with murder following Sunday’s double shooting ackee walk that left two men dead.
The investigation remains underway as the St.Andrew police search for a second suspect, offering up to $90,000 for any information. Police spokeswoman Sherry Lewin said Earlan Bartley, 23, of an Kingston adress, was arrested on Thursday. He is also facing assault and handgun violations charges.
The self-proclaimed Vendetta Don being held at the Halfway Tree Police Station without bond, Lewin said.
Police were called to the area around 1:30 p.m. on Dec. 18, where they found Kemar Standford, 20, with multiple gunshots wounds in a car. Nearby, officers found his companion, Khalil Marsh, 21, of ackee walk , also with gunshot wounds. Police said drugs were found at the scene and the shooting may be Gang-related.

Describing himself as an ‘in di streets yute’, ALKALINE, whose real name is Earlan Bartley, was born in 1993 ‘under the clock’ in Kingston at the Victory Jubilee Hospital.
